Sales Navigator Export Leads: There Is No Export Button, So Here Are Your Real Options (2026)
Quick answer: For Sales Navigator export leads requests, there is no native CSV button. LinkedIn’s help center says Sales Navigator doesn’t export lead and account information to CSV or XLS. You have three routes: CRM sync on the Advanced Plus plan, a third-party extension that breaks LinkedIn’s terms, or copying names by hand.
I never exported a Sales Navigator list when I built my coaching pipeline. I worked the people who engaged with my posts. Here’s what each route costs you, and which one fits your plan.
Is there a way to export leads from Sales Navigator?
Not natively. LinkedIn’s help page on exporting account and lead information says the option to export to a CSV or XLS file isn’t offered. A saved lead list stays inside Sales Navigator. The only supported link to the outside is CRM integration.
That’s why most “export” guides you find are written by vendors that sells a tool to fill the gap.
Sales Navigator export leads: the three real routes
| Route | What you get | Cost | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| CRM sync | Connects your CRM records to your Sales Navigator lists | Advanced Plus plan | Low. It’s the supported path |
| Third-party extension | A CSV or Excel file from a search or list | Tool subscription | High. It scrapes LinkedIn against its terms |
| Copy by hand | A short list in a sheet you type yourself | Your time | None, but it doesn’t scale |
How does the official CRM sync work?
It works only on the top plan. Per LinkedIn’s CRM integration overview, CRM integration is available to Sales Navigator Advanced Plus users. With Salesforce, sync can import and save CRM leads, contacts and accounts into your lists, and it flags CRM contacts that are out of date.
Two catches. Each user has to authenticate with the CRM on their own, on top of the admin setup. Check that your CRM is on LinkedIn’s supported list before you upgrade a plan to get it.
Are Sales Navigator export extensions safe?
Not for the account you care about. Extensions that pull names into a spreadsheet read LinkedIn pages automatically. That goes against LinkedIn’s terms of service, and LinkedIn can restrict an account for it.
If you do use one, treat it as a risk you accept, not a feature you bought:
- Use a tool that doesn’t ask for your LinkedIn password.
- Keep volume low. I wrote about why there’s no published safe number in safe LinkedIn connection request limits.
- Never run it on the account that holds your network.
What does an exported list actually give you?
A cold list. A name, a title and a company tell you who fits your target. They don’t tell you who is paying attention. Search filters sort by profile data, and you can see this in LinkedIn Sales Navigator boolean search: you can narrow a search hard and still send to people who’ve never heard of you.
Compare that to someone who reacted to or commented on a post in your space. They’ve named themselves and shown a topic they care about. I ranked those signals in LinkedIn engagement signals for prospecting.
What I’d do instead of exporting
Use Sales Navigator to find the fit, and use engagement to find the timing.
- Build the saved search for your buyer in Sales Navigator.
- Skip the export. Open the list and check who has posted or commented lately.
- Engage with their content first. A real comment beats a cold connection request.
- Work the people who engage with you. If you want that list without opening tabs, I built LeadBase to pull it. The manual version is in how to export LinkedIn post commenters.
FAQ
Can I export a Sales Navigator lead list to CSV?
Not with Sales Navigator itself. LinkedIn’s help center says the CSV and XLS export isn’t offered, so your options are CRM integration or a third-party tool.
Which plan includes CRM sync?
Sales Navigator Advanced Plus. Lower plans don’t include CRM integration.
Is exporting Sales Navigator leads with an extension against the rules?
Yes. Tools that scrape pages go against LinkedIn’s terms of service, and your account can be restricted for it.
Is there a safer way to build a warm list?
Yes. Work the people who react to and comment on posts in your space, since they’ve signaled interest in public.
